After their February 2024 wedding at Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury, Chelsea and Alex left the following June on their honeymoon to Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora. They wanted to experience “that once in a lifetime exotic trip,” Chelsea explains.
Honeymoon Itinerary
The couple spent three days in Tahiti, five days in Moorea and five days in Bora Bora. Activities included pearl shopping, a couples’ massage, ATV tour, jet skiing, swimming with sharks and stingrays, waterfall hike, snorkeling, private sunset cruise and a souvenir tattoo. “We truly did everything we could dream of,” Chelsea says. Their favorite excursion was swimming with sharks/stingrays and the ATV tour.

The couple stayed at the Hilton Tahiti, Hilton Moorea and Four Seasons Bora Bora.
Restaurants
Chelsea and Alex dined at Cocobeach, Restaurant K, Lotus, La Plage Tahiti, Holy Steak and their favorite—La Villa Mahana.
Favorite Memory
The couple’s favorite memory was “sitting outside on our mountain-view overwater villa at the Four Seasons Bora Bora, taking in the views and having wine with my husband in our private plunge pool,” Chelsea explains.
Which Was Your Favorite Island?
“For Tahiti, you don’t need to spend more than one to two days,” Chelsea says. “It’s beautiful but not too much to do.” Moorea was Alex’s favorite. “This is where you do the land activities,” Chelsea adds. “It’s a gorgeous island with a lot of history that actually inspired the movie Moana. We even hiked to a waterfall here, then swam in the water under it. Amazing experiences! The water is stunning and plenty of water activities to do here, too.” But Chelsea loved the tranquility and beauty of Bora Bora. “Even from the flight there from Moorea and seeing the island of Bora Bora under you in flight about to land felt like a movie,” she says. “It’s so peaceful and relaxing. No picture will ever do it justice! I personally loved the mix of doing activities and then ending the trip just relaxing.”
Advice for Others
“Don’t worry about over planning. Just enjoy and live in the moment,” Chelsea advises. “There are so many people who can help you once you arrive. The front-desk concierges at the hotels can provide so much information!”
Would You Recommend?
“Definitely. It’s a once in a lifetime experience that everyone should see,” Chelsea explains. She rated their trip as a 10 out of 10! “It’s an amazing and beautiful part of the world! We are already thinking about going for our tenth, fifteenth or twentieth anniversary.”
