Perona Farms in Andover, NJ, has unveiled a sweeping renovation to The Reserve—one that’s transformed its largest ballroom into a fresh, elegantly rustic space. And if you’re into Tuscan-villa energy, indoor-outdoor everything and an immersive cocktail-hour, this is about to jump to the top of your venue shortlist. Trust me, the transformation is major. Think warm textures, towering olive trees and a layout that feels like you’ve wandered into an estate somewhere between New Jersey and the Italian countryside. Here’s a closer look at what’s new:
A Reimagined Entrance That Sets the Tone
The Reserve now has its own dedicated entrance on the left side of the property—fully separate from The Refinery and The Barn venues. Guests arrive under a brand-new carport designed so shuttles and vans can pull right up. Just beyond the doors, you’re greeted by a dramatic rotunda anchored by a skylight overhead and a soaring olive tree, with access to their on-site greenhouse. It immediately cues the Tuscan vibe Perona Farms is leaning into: organic textures, natural light and warm, rustic-modern details.
The Piazza Ceremony Space
The indoor ceremony space—The Piazza—features rolling barn-style doors and a retractable roof that floods the room with natural light. It’s also eliminates the need to make a game-day weather call. With the press a button, the roof instantly closes, protecting guests from impending storms. Even fully enclosed, the space stays bright and airy. It’s such a clever setup and one of our favorite ceremony settings in the state.
The entrance of the ceremony space also features a built-in spritz wall—yes, a spritz wall!—with taps for welcome cocktails like an Aperol Spritz, Prosecco or even an Old-Fashioned. It’s playful, on-trend and perfect for couples who want that “Wow, this is fun” moment right as guests arrive.
Cocktail Hour
The transformation also focused on the central cocktail-hour area. Perona Farms knocked down walls and raised the ceiling, giving the room a larger, more airy feel. A massive skylight now pours natural light into the space, positioned directly above an olive tree that anchors the room. Exposed white-washed brick, wood beams, mixed-metal finishes and a beautiful staircase deepen the Tuscan aesthetic. Two double-sided bars allow guests to spread out, mingle and keep cocktails flowing smoothly.
Indoor-Outdoor Flow: New Retractable Roof + Walls
The Reserve leans heavily into indoor-outdoor living, which is very on-trend for 2026 couples. There’s now a retractable glass roof and wall system near the pizza oven that opens fully, connecting the indoor cocktail-hour area to an expanded outdoor patio.
Outside, Perona Farms added a raised patio above the new double-sided outdoor bar. The outdoor patio is covered and outfitted with heaters, ceiling fans and its own built-in fireplace. Cocktail hour can shift seamlessly between open-air and covered spaces, no matter the season. More than half of the outdoor area can now be protected from the elements, which is a huge win for couples planning Spring or Fall weddings.
The Ballroom: Elevated, Romantic + Perfectly Tuscan
Inside the ballroom, Perona Farms kept the signature warmth of The Reserve but added fresh, elevated details. The fireplace wall now features a marble backsplash that ties in materials from the cocktail-hour renovations. Chandeliers have been updated with hanging greenery to bring in texture and that indoor-outdoor atmosphere couples love.
The ballroom capacity is 275 for a seated dinner. It’s ideal for couples with big guest lists who still want an intimate, stylish feel.
The Speakeasy Lounge
They’ve also added a moody lounge hideaway. Think rich textures, great for direct-flash photos and ideal for an after-party or a little late-night escape. It gives the space a more modern, editorial feel that couples are loving right now.
Bridal + Groom Suites: Quiet Upgrades With Purpose
While the main bridal suite remains in its own stand-alone building across the property (perfect for privacy!), Perona Farms updated The Reserve’s upstairs bridal touch-up suite with an extended patio. It gives you and your bridal party more lounge space. They also added a dedicated lounge off the cocktail-hour area for groomsmen, which is ideal for stashing items throughout the night.
Menus: Same Farm-to-Table Excellence
Even with the Tuscan theme, couples booking The Reserve will enjoy the same seasonal, farm-to-table menus available at all Perona Farms venues. Their culinary team continues to focus on fresh, local, chef-driven dishes that evolve with the seasons.
