Their Story
On their first date in December of 2020, Kasey and Nicholas quickly knew they had found something special. “We just clicked and found ourselves unable to stay away from each other,” Kasey explains. “Between our love for family, fitness and working on becoming the best version of ourselves, we knew we had found our match.” Before long, their relationship and love for each other had grown more than they had imagined to be possible. “It wasn’t long before Nick popped the question on the best day of our life together! Since then, our love has continued to blossom and we can’t wait for the adventures to come,” she adds.
“We’ve had big moments in life like going on exciting trips to Hawaii, California, Iceland and now Italy for our honeymoon! We also love to travel on small getaways!” Kasey says. “However, we’ve found that all the little moments of everyday life are what make our relationship so special. Having the chance to do a workout together or take a walk to our favorite park makes a perfect day for us. Our love is unique, fun and full of belly laughs! We are so excited to see all that the future holds for us as husband and wife! We can’t wait for more travel, adventure and to start a family of our own!”
Will You Marry Me?
Their engagement was the most perfect surprise for Kasey. Early in the summer of 2022, Kasey suggested doing a wine and cheese picnic day as a summer activity. Nick took advantage of this and put it on their calendar for August 13th. “Little did I know our parents, siblings and grandparents were all in on it,” Kasey explains. “Nick and I went for our picnic and to my huge surprise, he popped the question. We left the park, headed home and when I opened the door to our apartment, our family was inside to surprise me with a post-proposal celebration! It was one of the best days of our lives, second to our wedding, of course!!”
Details of the Day
Kasey and Nick got married on June 8, 2024, at Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church in Wayne, NJ. Their entire day had a classic and elegant feel, from the church ceremony to the traditional ballroom at The Mansion at Mountain Lakes with white and green florals, ivory linens and a crowd that knew how to celebrate. While all the details including their handmade favors by Nick’s grandma and the flower wall photo booth crafted by Kasey’s mom helped set the tone for their big day, the most notable detail was the vibe created by each and every one of their guests. “We were surrounded by the most incredible group of people showering us with love and joy,” Kasey adds. “And don’t forget, they all knew how to tear up the dance floor for the entire night!”
Favorite Details
“All of our vendors were incredible!” Kasey says. “My favorites were certainly our kind and talented florist Yumila, my amazing makeup artist Lauren and our fantastic emcee Michael Chieffo with DJMC Entertainment!”
Favorite Moment
“This is a hard one!” Kasey says. “The greatest moment was those few moments of anticipation as the Bridal March began playing on the church organ. I waited eagerly for those doors to open to see a long aisle with my almost husband waiting for me at the end sporting the biggest ear-to-ear grin I’ve ever seen!”
Her close second favorite moment was right after their grand entrance while they danced their first dance. “We chose the song ‘Then’ by Brad Paisley and had a long-practiced rumba routine dazzled with lifts, dips and twirls,” Kasey explains. “The preparation made our first dance so much more special, and, if I may say so myself, wowed our guests a bit!”
Why Did You Choose The Mansion at Mountain Lakes?
The day they looked up The Mansion at Mountain Lakes, Kasey had a feeling that it would be the one. After touring the venue and meeting with the Mansion staff they knew it was the perfect venue. “The combination of rustic décor with the ballroom’s elegance, the beautiful gardens and stunning bridal suite had my heart as soon as I set foot inside,” Kasey explains. “Besides the perfect feeling that came with the Mansion’s layout and décor, I knew that Jim, Nancy and their staff were an amazing team that would create our perfect day. My feelings from those first two visits with my now husband and then our moms proved to be absolutely true when our dream day came to life in this magical venue!”
Advice for Others
“Your wedding season is a unique and special time in life. Whatever you do, enjoy every moment of the preparation,” Kasey says. “It’s only a short time you can call your significant other ‘fiance’ and truly prepare for marriage. Do not allow yourself to be stressed with small details—enjoy the journey! The wedding day itself was the best day of our lives. Be intentional and soak in every single moment. It will pass fast—don’t miss a thing!”
Honeymoon
Kasey and Nick went to Italy for their honeymoon. “We first traveled to Milan and visited the Dolomites region,” Kasey explains. “We saw the most magnificent mountains and lakes, ate amazing food, and hiked to amazing places. We then traveled to the Amalfi Coast and stayed in Positano. The Amalfi Coast is truly something else. I am still dreaming of it! We finished our travels in Rome before returning home to start our married life.”
