Our Story

Kennedy and David went to the same high school and college but didnโ€™t meet until we were home one summer working at the same local restaurant. “We went back to school together and the rest was history!” Kennedy says.

Why Did You Choose Your Venue?

When it came time to choose a wedding venue, The Sea Shell Resort on LBI was an easy choice for Kennedy and David. “I have been coming here my whole life,” the bride explains. “Itโ€™s beautiful and tropical, unlike any other place in New Jersey. They have phenomenal food, and beautiful palm trees! Itโ€™s like a destination wedding but right here in NJ!”

Favorite Memory

The couple’s favorite moment was their cocktail hour. “The food was in abundance, we were finally husband and wife, and were able to enjoy all of our hard work!” Kennedy adds. “It was a surreal feeling looking down onto the beach at our beautiful ceremony, all the amazing tropical florals, and getting to see everyone enjoy themselves!”

Advice for Others

“Be as organized as possible!” Kenneday adds. “This is key. I also tell everyone you cannot go wrong making necessary purchases along the way! Itโ€™s never too early. It makes everything less stressful in the end. For example, order your cheesecloth when you decide which ones you want, order your candle holders, order your signage, order your shoes and perfume. Anything you can get out of the way early is a win!”
