Mary Kate and Ryan met on a crisp fall night outside of the Jane Hotel in the West Village. After a fun evening of hanging out and meeting each others friends they started dating, and two and a half years later Ryan proposed in Battery Park where they now reside.
The wedding day was picturesque! Planned by Kate Duffy of Katydid Signature Floral and Event Designed it was elegant, romantic and timeless with a blue-and-white chinoiserie theme.
The bride wore a breathtaking Oscar De La Renta gown with tulle overlay and delicate flower applique paired with elegant jeweled Manolo Blahnik sling-backs. Stefanie Duell and Sofia Beskasnova teamed up to give the bride a sleek chignon and effortless looking natural makeup that highlighted Mary Kate’s natural beauty.
The bridesmaids wore chic Katie May gowns from Bella Bridesmaid in classic Navy, and Ryan was dashing in a navy tuxedo by Victor Talbots.
The couple was married at St. James Church in Red Bank with a reception at The River House at Rumson Country Club.
Katydid did an incredible job in transforming the deck of the club with Fabrico Productions who provided draping and lighting. A crisp blue and white chinoiserie theme with potted topiary and round hanging garlands transported the room across the pond to a European garden party complete with swans on the water.
Twilight was absolute magic on the water! The warm tones of the candlelight against the brilliant blue sky, the flutter of white drapery in the warm breeze transported everyone to another place. The Liberty Band brought down the house. What a night!
