And then we dated during the pandemic and realized if we can have this much fun with takeout, Netflix and walks, it must be something real!Will You Marry Me?On October 9, 2021, we were going to a Chris Stapleton concert at PNC, who is one of our favorite artists. I walked down the aisle to one of his songs. And I assumed he was going to ask me while we were tailgating. Well, I was wrong. It was the next morning when he went to get our Sunday morning Dunkin. He came back and said I’ve got a surprise for you: \u201cWill you marry me coffee\u201d and my ring was on the straw of my latte. He knew it was the only way he could surprise me.Details of Your DayOur day was special as it was St. Patrick\u2019s Day! We tried to incorporate the holiday as much as we could without it being corny. Crystal Point even made one of our stations corned beef and cabbage. It was the first time many of our family members met due to Covid and was truly one big reunion with people coming from California and Hawaii. Unfortunately my dad passed away in 2019 from brain cancer, so we tried to honor him as well. CJ’s grandfather said grace, and his Uncle Bob did the Irish Blessing. Our ceremony was performed by my uncle who is a judge, which made it so personal, and both of our godfathers did special readings. The entire day was one big celebration.Why Did You Choose Crystal Point Yacht Club?We were looking for an all-inclusive venue with a view. Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant includes so much and is absolutely stunning. They also offer on-site accommodations the night before and of your wedding, which includes space for hair and makeup.Favorite DetailOur photographer and videographers were truly what made our day perfect. They helped create a perfect timeline, made the entire wedding party calm and captured every single moment of our day perfectly.Favorite MomentOur ceremony was so personal and special. Having our uncle marry us and including our godfathers in the ceremony made it unique to us. My Godfather Chris read a song he wrote my parents for their wedding in 1980.My mom and I also did a special dance that got all the moms on the dance floor.Advice for OthersHire vendors who have your best interest in mind and who support you and your vision.Don\u2019t let your type-A personality take over. Let other people help!The day is yours and your husband’s. So do it your way.
