Randi was a dancer for the team, and Mike was a huge hockey fan. During one of the games, Randi caught Mike\u2019s eye. As luck would have it, when Mike checked his Facebook during the game, he saw Randi\u2019s picture\u2014and they had mutual friends! They connected online and started talking. At the next game, Mike introduced himself to Randi, and they continued building their connection outside of the rink. After their first date, the rest was history!Will You Marry Me?Mike proposed to Randi in June of 2023 on a beach in Nassau, Bahamas.Details of the DayRandi and Mike tied the knot on September 29, 2024, at the Mill Lakeside Manor in Spring Lake Heights, surrounded by 152 of their closest family and friends. Their vision for the day was a dreamy mix of minimalism and elegance, brought to life through neutral tones, touches of gold, and crisp white florals designed by Floral Designs by Dara. With their ceremony held indoors in the venue\u2019s ballroom, Randi made her entrance in a chic Pronovias ballgown. The ceremony was officiated by Uncle Joe, adding a heartfelt personal touch.Guests were welcomed with signature cocktails: His was an Old-Fashioned and hers was a spicy jalape\u00f1o pineapple margarita with fresh pineapple garnish and a Tajin rim. The couple\u2019s reception was full of thoughtful details, from the custom neon sign showcasing their new shared last name to their repurposed bouquets adorning the sweetheart table. They treated guests to a delicious dinner featuring dishes like Chateaubriand with twice-baked potatoes, Chicken a la Mill, seafood trio with teriyaki salmon and vegetarian gnocchi primavera. Standouts included a sushi station, custom martini luge during cocktail hour, and a late-night hangover station to-go.Their cake from Chocolate Carousel was four tiers, adorned with fresh flowers and their initials in gold. From the gold arch used at both the ceremony and behind the sweetheart table to the custom signage and classic gold table numbers, the d\u00e9cor reflected a timeless elegance. Behind the scenes, wedding coordinator Racquel of The Mill ensured every detail ran smoothly, while So Bridal Social captured all the content magic of the day.Why Did You Choose the Mill?“We chose The Mill because we have been to so many weddings in North Jersey and wanted something a little different,” Randi explains. “We love the Jersey Shore area and wanted something around there. We only looked at three venues, and after meeting our amazing coordinator, Racquel, we knew it was the right place! The Mill checked all the boxes. The venue was modern and elegant. We love the idea of a venue near water, so the lake was perfect!”Favorite MomentRandi’s favorite moment from the wedding was their first dance and being with everyone at the reception dancing the night away. Favorite Detail“My favorite detail was our neon name sign and our Alpha-Lit light-up block letters with our last name,” Randi explains.Advice for Others “My advice is to not stress about the weather no matter what,” Randi says. “Your day will be perfect whether it\u2019s raining, snowing, windy, hot or cold!
