South Jersey Rustic Wedding Venues

If you’re looking for a barn, farm or rustic wedding venue for your New Jersey wedding, South Jersey is the place to be. From historic barns that are blank slates to working farms and blooming flower gardens, South Jersey has a huge variety of choices. There are even some rustic estates situated on a river, offering a great waterfront experience.

Some of these rustic venues are all-inclusive and provide everything you need for your wedding: catering, tables, chairs, tableware, décor and more. Others require you to bring everything in. Either way, these rustic venues tend to be very affordable with low rental rates, allowing you to keep your budget in check and have complete control over your vendor selections.

While not for everyone—such as the ballroom bride—they offer a unique experience, and I always love the juxtaposition of a formal crystal chandelier hanging in a rustic barn! There’s so much you can do with these venues to truly make your wedding a unique experience.

Here are some of the best rustic wedding venues in South Jersey:

1. Abbie Holmes Estate

This historic farmhouse in Cape May Court House, NJ, has an outdoor chapel for both wedding ceremonies and receptions, along with an indoor conservatory room. They only host a limited number of weddings each year for up 100 guests.

2. Bishop Farmstead

This historic barn in Southampton, NJ, has beautiful outdoor spaces for garden ceremonies and cocktails, along with and dinner and dancing inside for up to 200 guests.

3. The Cart Barn at Pinelands Golf Club

The Cart Barn, a rustic venue at Pineland’s Golf Club in Hammonton, NJ, is nestled on the edge of Wharton State Forest. It offers outdoor patios and fire pits along with a modern, rustic interior space for weddings with up to 220 guests.

4. Cecil Creek Farm

This 42-acre farm in Mickleton, NJ, offers farm-to-table celebrations, outdoor wedding ceremonies, small weddings, and a rustic barn for receptions up to 250.

5. Eagle Manor

This waterfront estate on the Chantey River in Bridgeton, NJ, was built in 1736 and has an historic rustic dairy barn for receptions, along with a river deck and boathouse for ceremonies. They also offer 10 guest rooms in the pre-Colonial mansion. The estate can accommodate weddings for up to 300 guests.

6. Exley Farms

This newly built rustic-style board-and-batten barn in Monroeville, NJ, has cobblestone paver flooring and is set on 110 acres of land with beautiful sunsets, hayrides and natural scenery for weddings up to 150.

7. The Farm on Main

The Farm on Main, a 20-acre working farm in Eaglewood, NJ, is putting the finishing touches on their brand-new wedding barn to be completed in 2023. There’s also a farmhouse and lawn for outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions for up to 200 guests.

8. The Grove at Centerton

This rustic farmhouse-style venue in Pittsgrove, NJ, is nestled in woods of Parvin State Park. Features include French doors, outdoor spaces, wooden floors and crystal chandeliers for weddings for up to 400.

9. Hitched at Turkey Trac Farms

You’ll have exclusive use of this 40-acre farm and barn in Millstone, NJ, that offers a blank canvas for your wedding for up to 150 guests. It is a completely do-it-yourself space. Decorations and vendors are all your choice and provided by you. They also have a list of preferred vendors who are familiar with space.

10. Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm

Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm in Jobstown, NJ, offers farm views, rolling pastures, a ceremony lawn, a farmhouse mansion and two barns for weddings and special events. They can accommodate wedding with 50 to 150 guests.

11. Renault Winery and Resort

Renault Winery in Egg Harbor City, NJ, offers French-inspired gardens and historic vineyards for wedding ceremonies. You’ll have your choice of four different venues in classic, modern, rustic, and Bohemian styles for weddings up to 400 guests. They also offer champagne walls, curated menus and guest accommodations.
