Planning help
Here, we talked with Vicki Sneed at Vicki’s Travel Designs and she shared what’s hot for 2026, along with some travel details to be aware of. Vicki is an expert at crafting custom luxury honeymoons and has personally planned more than 1,000 honeymoon trips since 2010—no two trips have ever been the same. She works with you to design a honeymoon that perfectly reflects your personalities and interests, while keeping your budget in mind.
“When helping my couples design their honeymoon, the first question I ask is how do you envision your honeymoon,” Vicki says. “Many times—more than 80%—the brides and grooms both have different visions, which I then help them both realize how this may be compromised. I walk them through the climate and logistics of the destinations they are considering.”

Changes to be aware of
Another benefit that Vicki provides is expert knowledge about travel changes and restrictions happening. The last thing you want—and a surefire way to ruin your trip before it starts—is to arrive at the airport and not have the proper documentation or knowledge about visas and fees. Some things to be aware of for travel in 2026 include:
- “Different countries are now requiring visas and tourist fees.” Vicki explains. “For example, Bali has now implemented a tourist levy. We provide our clients with links to complete this levy application online prior to arrival.”
- As of February 25, 2026, visa-free visitors to the United Kingdom must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before traveling.
- In late 2026, citizens from more than 60 visa-exempt countries (including the U.S.) must obtain an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) authorization before traveling to 30 European countries, which will be valid for 3 years.
- More destinations are requiring proof of travel insurance when applying for visas, Vicki says. “These are all the areas we assist clients with navigating.”
- Another thing to remember in 2026 is the need for REAL ID for domestic travel including Hawaii. But it’s not necessary if you bring your passport or Global Entry card. “The Global Entry card may be taken in replace of a REAL ID,” Vicki adds. “For example, I keep my passport current and have Global Entry, so I will not be getting a REAL ID.”
