Situated on 10 acres of land, the museum also includes a quarry, schoolhouse, log cabin and operational blacksmith shop—photo ops galore, with Clinton’s charming downtown just steps away over the historic truss bridge. The centerpiece of the museum is the Red Mill, originally built in 1810 to process wool, before the town of Clinton had even been named. The mill has been transformed many times over the years, from wool to grist to graphite to talc.

Throughout the year, the museum holds a variety of events and programs, including craft fairs, art shows, music festivals and historical reenactments. They also host a limited number of weddings each year for up to 175, with all-inclusive packages that include catering, wedding planning and rentals. All you need to do is show up!
