Wedding in Snug Harbor Botanical Gardens in Staten Island.

Ryan and Anthony at Snug Harbor Botanical Garden

Their Story

Ryan and Anthony were high school sweethearts. After years of dating, they got engaged on a vacation in St. Lucia while on a private terrace overlooking the ocean at sunset.

Details of the Day

On a Friday evening in May, the couple was married in the Botanical Garden at Snug Harbor in Staten Island. Ryan wore a long-sleeved column gown by Sarah Seven with her bridesmaids in pink slip dresses from Jenny Yoo. Guests were then escorted from the breathtaking gardens into the ballroom, decorated with classic, elegant, chic décor.

The bride’s cascading bouquet included white phalaenopsis orchids, white dendrobian orchids, white ‘Playa Blanco’ roses, and lilies of the valley. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were made up of ‘Mother of Pearl’ roses, white ‘Playa Blanco’ roses and baby’s breath.

After their first dance, Ryan changed into a sheath gown by Jenny Yoo for the reception.

The wedding cake from Palermo’s Bakery was made up of four tiers of Funfetti Bomb and Raspberry Truffle flavors, along with a cake topper of their Schnauzers.

The tables were draped in neutral linens with centerpieces made of white and blush ‘Mother of Pearl’ roses, white lisianthus, white hydrangea, blush stock, baby’s breath, and greenery—all aglow with tapered candles.

First Dance Song

“Our Love,” by Gary Clark.

Favorite Moment

Ryan’s favorite moments include her bride and groom photos with Anthony, their private vows, the event painter and when they entered the reception as newlyweds.

Favorite Detail

Ryan’s favorite vendor was her photographer: Ein Photography and Design. “Tim and his team were incredible to work with, and I am so grateful to have had him at my wedding!”

Advice
