Their Story
Grace and Michael met on Bumble during Covid. “I had to make the first move, and I never let my husband live it down,” Grace explains. “We fell in love during the holiday season, so now it makes that time of year even more special!”
Will You Marry Me?
The couple got engaged in August 2022. “My husband proposed on the beach in the Atlantis, Bahamas. I knew it was happening!” Grace says.
Details of the Day
On June 7, 2024, Grace and Michael got married at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Ridgewood, NJ. “We had a Rolls-Royce and trolley to make it more ‘old school.'” Grace says. Friends and family then proceeded to The Estate at Florentine Gardens in River Vale for the couple’s gorgeous ballroom wedding. “We had a very traditional wedding with a modern twist,” she adds. “We did not do a first look! The first time my husband saw me was when I was walked down the aisle by my father.”
Why Did You Choose The Estate at Florentine Gardens?
Grace found the venue in a bridal magazine.
Favorite Moment
“My favorite moment was when the entire room got on the dance floor and we took a huge group photo,” Grace says. “My other favorite moment was when we did my Italian family tradition, the tarantella!”
Favorite Detail
“My can’t-live-without vendor is definitely The Cannoli Guy,” Grace explains. “This was so unique, and the guests loved it.”
Advice for Others
“We had such an amazing time at our wedding and that’s really what’s most important,” Grace says. “Everything about the day was just perfect. Our pictures say it all.”
Honeymoon
The couple went to Italy in September. They spent two days in Paris, and then went to the Amalfi Coast and ended in Rome. Activities included cooking classes, a few tours of historic places, beach clubs, and dinner reservations. They were most excited about their private boat in the blue grotto.
